Agribility - An Introduction to Shipping the Goods

This module will provide an overall view of a transaction of shipping the goods. It will provide an explanation of all of the people involved in a transaction, all of the documents that may be needed, and when. This module will provide a summary of how the trade works, the roles within a trade execution and the practicalities of shipping the goods.

Access to content is granted for 12 weeks, from date of registration, and successful students will receive a completion certificate.

By the end of this module, the learner should be able to:

• Explain each of the roles involved in any shipping transaction
• Identify all key documents of a transaction and explain when, how and by who they should be provided
• Discuss the practicalities of shipping the goods including arranging the; vessel, goods, loading, discharge and all payments
• Understand what impact different scenarios may have on a standard timeline
