In-house training

Initial Enquiry Process

When you reach out to Gafta with an initial enquiry about our bespoke training services, we understand that you're looking for information to make an informed decision. That's why we've streamlined our process to provide you with essential details upfront.

What to Expect:

  • Costing Profile: Upon receiving your initial enquiry, we'll promptly send you a costing profile via email. This document is not a formal proposal but provides you with a general overview of the expected costs associated with our bespoke training services. It's designed to give you a clear understanding of what to anticipate financially.

  • Sample Programme: Alongside the costing profile, you'll also receive a sample programme. This programme outlines the structure and content of our training sessions, offering you insight into the topics covered and the learning objectives we aim to achieve.

  • Bespoke Training Process Overview: We'll provide you with a summary of how the bespoke training process works. This overview outlines the steps involved, from initial enquiry to scheduling and proposal preparation, ensuring transparency and clarity at every stage.

  • Available Dates for Scheduling: As part of our commitment to accommodating your needs, we'll present you with available dates for scheduling your bespoke training sessions. This allows you to plan accordingly and choose the timing that best suits your team's schedule.

Once you've reviewed the costing profile, sample programme, and confirmed your preferred dates, we will proceed to the proposal preparation stage. During this phase, we'll work closely with you to tailor a comprehensive training proposal that aligns perfectly with your requirements and objectives.

Courses available

Gafta offers 3 ‘off the shelf’ courses that can be ordered in-house:

  • Commodity Contracts – A 2-day course covering contracts in the commodities sector in detail. Delegates will study both general industry and Gafta-specific contracts, including their formation, terms and the process associated with commodity trading.
  • Commodity Shipping – A 2-day course giving a detailed view of shipping in the commodities sector, including documents, contractual obligations, parties concerned in shipping operations and other practical issues.
  • Commodity Dispute Resolution – A 2-day course exploring what happens before, and when, a contractual dispute arises, including mitigating risks, damages, force majeure and other exceptional circumstances plus what you need to know about the arbitration process.

Alternatively, companies can order a bespoke training programme, depending on the needs of their team.

Proposal Preparation

  • Definition: Proposal preparation costs encompass all expenses associated with the creation and development of an in-house training proposal by Gafta.

  • Scope of Services: These costs cover the time, resources, and expertise required to tailor a training proposal to meet the specific needs and objectives of the client.

  • Flat Fee: The proposal preparation costs amount to a flat fee of £500.00 plus VAT. This fee is non-negotiable and applies to all in-house training proposals prepared by Gafta for the client.

  • Payment Responsibility: The client is solely responsible for covering the proposal preparation costs. These costs are payable to Gafta upon completion of the proposal, as outlined in the initial quote provided to the client.

  • Refund Policy: If the client decides to proceed with the bespoke training program outlined in the proposal, the proposal preparation cost will be refundable against the training fees. However, if the client chooses not to proceed with the training program, the proposal preparation costs are non-refundable.

By requesting a proposal following initial inquiry, the client acknowledges and agrees to the terms outlined regarding proposal preparation costs and the refund policy.
